What is Solar Thermal?

Solar thermal systems are installed to heat domestic hot water. The Sun’s energy is used to heat solar panels for the home to deliver hot water people use in the home. Residential solar water heating is an environmentally friendly way to obtain hot water. Solar heating systems are also used as pool heaters as they are an energy efficient way to heat the water for swimming pools. Typically between 50% and 70% of a house’s hot water needs can be generated using solar panels. Solar thermal heating of this type has environmental and financial benefits. You will see an immediate reduction in your energy bills. In addition to this, when you begin to harness the sun's energy with the solar panel, you will lower your carbon footprint. This is extremely important as we try to reduce global warming by using renewable resources.

Kershaw supplies MCS approved equipment which is installed by our trained installers in domestic and commercial properties. Our surveyors will offer advice about your solar panel installation and help you to find any financial help you may be entitled to.
