Cambridge company announces £129k of new local orders
Cambridge business Kershaw Contracting Services has announced £129,000 of new insulation orders – most of them within Cambridgeshire.
The business, which is part of the city’s Kershaw Group, has secured three local orders and a further one in London.
Kershaw services include new domestic heating systems, insulation to reduce heating bills, and asbestos removal services.
Kershaw’s MD Mick Rayson said: “Business is currently buoyant for us, and no wonder. We focus on helping people save money on their household fuel bills with energy-saving insulation and new super-efficient boilers.
“With the cost of living rising rapidly, people are keen to cut their energy bills in any way they can. They also know this is very good for the environment.”
The orders are:
• A £55,000 contract to install loft insulation in new houses being built by Persimmon Homes at Parsons Lane, Littleport
• Heating and plumbing worth £37,000 in new homes at Apple Acre Road, Haverhill, being built by H C Moss Builders
• An £18,000 contract to put in loft insulation in new Redrow Homes houses at Lanes Farm, St Neots
• Cavity wall insulation in homes on the Exmouth Estate in London, worth £19,000
Kershaw Contracting Services is a division of the Cambridge-based Kershaw Group, which employs 183 people.
Parts of the group have a history stretching back 120 years.
It’s well known for its involvement in the community, including sponsoring Cambridge United’s away shirts.
