Cambridge company announces £125,000 bumper crop of new orders
A Cambridge company has announced a bumper crop of new orders, giving it a great start to the summer.
Kershaw Contracting Services in Cottenham has secured a number of new orders for its asbestos removal and domestic insulation-fitting teams.
They include a contract to remove asbestos from three stores belonging to a national retail chain – with a strong chance of additional work in the months to come.
Managing Director Ian Macklin said: “These are tough times for all businesses, but we are focusing on keeping our heads down, working hard, and delivering what customers want.
“Most of Kershaw Contracting Services’ work comes thanks to referrals from existing clients. That’s very pleasing for us as it tells us we are doing a great job.”
He added: “These orders are a great way to start the summer and we are confident we will continue to win more work in the months to come.”
The new contracts include:
• £47,000 contract to remove asbestos from an industrial building in Dartford
• New loft insulation for houses being refurbished by Connaught at Colchester Garrison, worth £25,000
• New loft insulation for buildings owned by Clare College, Cambridge
Kershaw Contracting Services specialises in fitting cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and high efficiency central heating systems.
It also has a division that safely removes lethal asbestos from buildings.
It is a division of the Cambridge-based Kershaw Group, which employs 183 people and recently agreed a record 10th year sponsoring Cambridge United.
