Cambridge company announces £85,000 of new insulation contracts
A Cambridge company is celebrating winning £85,000 worth of new work in the last week.
Specialist insulation and asbestos removal business Kershaw Contracting Services has secured three contracts.
The first is for a new care home being built in Cambridge by Redworth Construction.
Kershaw is installing fire barriers and loft insulation in a contract worth £23,000.
The other two contracts are in London:
• Loft insulation and cavity wall insulation for three projects in Brent. Worth £37,000 for contractor Mulalley & Company
• Cavity wall insulation for the Quadrant estate, Highbury. Worth £25,000 for Kier
Ian Macklin is the Managing Director of Kershaw Contracting Services.
He said: “This is more great news for Cambridge. To win work both in the city and in London is good for local people and local jobs.

Kershaw Contracting Services is a division of the Cambridge-based Kershaw Group.
It was recently rewarded for its long-term commitment to excellent health and safety by being accepted into the exclusive SAFEcontractor programme.
Parts of the Kershaw Group have a history stretching back 120 years. It employs 183 people and is well known for its involvement in the community.
