New Build Insulation Services
Kershaw Contracting Services has a dedicated new build insulation division offering clients a turnkey service for all their insulation needs. We ensure all properties conform to the required U values within the building fabric whilst simultaneously helping to achieve a reduction in CO2 emissions.
Our commercial clients range from small, private developers with a select number of properties, to regional and national contractors building major new housing developments. Our public sector, industrial and not-for profit clients include schools, hospitals and care homes.
Our surveyors are always available to visit you on site to discuss your requirements and offer free advice.
We are fully experienced to install a variety of mineral fibre products from leading manufacturers, designed to achieve the U values required by the Building Regulations. We use a combination of roll products, boards and slabs, depending on the roof space and your requirements. Alternatively, we can blow or inject insulation into the roof void with specialist machinery where access is limited.
Cavity Wall Insulation
We use several blown cavity wall insulation products to ensure current building energy standards are achieved. These include Supafil 34, glass mineral wool from Knauf, Thermabead Carbon Saver made from beads consisting of expanded polystyrene combined with micro-particles of graphite, and Rockwool EnergySaver mineral wool - all of which are BBA certified.
Timber Frame Insulation
Our clients are increasingly using timber frame construction as a means of achieving a cost effective and sustainable method of construction. We are experts in insulating timber framed buildings, incorporating specialist mineral fibre products and vapour barriers, as well as modern, highly effective plastic foams.
The Kershaw team is trained in the selection and application of passive fire protection systems, and can offer you technical data and advice. We are approved by Rockwool Limited to supply and install Rockwool FirePro fire barrier systems. These create compartments that retard the spread of fire and smoke within the roof and ceiling voids for anything from 30 minutes to two hours.
Internal partition walls require insulation for both acoustic and thermal purposes. Here too, we can install from a wide range of alternative insulation products, dependent on your building type.
