Asbestos concerns halt renovation project
Workmen carrying out a £300 million council project to improve homes in Doncaster were ordered to down tools because of asbestos concerns.
The pause in work was made as a precautionary measure only.
Contractors ensured that correct health and safety procedures were being carried out, in the event more of the dangerous substance was found.
Earlier this year residents in some homes were evacuated after workers discovered asbestos during renovations.
Kershaw Contracting Services can provide expert advice on the management of materials, helping to prevent accidental exposure to asbestos fibres.
