Building waste with asbestos dumped at cemeteries
Asbestos was allegedly buried by a waste disposal company in a cemetery – to avoid landfill charges.
The cemetery has now called in experts to clean up the ground and remove the dangerous material.
A council in London has started legal action against a disposal company and a former employee.
While no existing graves have been contaminated, some of the land in the cemetery would now be unsuitable as burial plots.
