National Insulation Association aims to increase public knowledge
A new consumer website has been launched to increase the public’s knowledge about insulation.
The new site, at www.nationalinsulationassociation.org.uk, is designed to help people save money on their energy bills during the winter.
The association’s figures show that more than 50% of a home’s heat is lost through uninsulated lofts and walls.
By simply installing cavity wall and loft insulation, homeowners can save around £265 per year in energy bills.
For homes with solid walls, the savings are even greater and solid wall insulation can save around £400 a year.
Kershaw Contracting Services is a member of the association, and provides cavity wall and loft insulation to home owners, builders and contractors.
