Kershaw Contracting Services provides a complete asbestos management solution encompassing UKAS accredited asbestos surveys, including refurbishment and demolition surveys, HSE licenced asbestos removal, encapsulation and inspections within a fully controlled quality management system.
As a UKAS accredited asbestos survey company and a HSE licenced asbestos removal contractor, we fully understand your concerns in dealing with a hazardous product and can ensure that you are fully compliant with current legislation. We have over 30 years' experience in the asbestos industry, and a proven track record of delivering to the highest levels of safety and client satisfaction whilst managing a hazardous material.
We work across a broad range of property types including domestic and social housing, schools, offices, hospitals and listed buildings. Our clients are commercial businesses, public sector bodies, blue-chip companies and not-for-profit organisations, operating locally, regionally and nationally.
Your Legal Obligations
If you own or are responsible for commercial non-domestic or domestic properties, you are required by law to identify and safely manage any asbestos within your buildings. The law states that asbestos materials must be identified in buildings, especially when carrying out refurbishment works, negating needless exposure and damage to peoples' health. For commercial non-domestic properties, the law states that surveys must be undertaken to identify all asbestos materials present. For all domestic properties, where contractors are conducting work, the owners have a duty to provide a safe place of work, meaning a survey is again required.
Health & Safety
The safety and protection of all individuals is a top priority for Kershaw. We have an excellent reputation for strict adherence to the HSE regulations and as members of the Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA), undertake work which is part of the ARCA site audit scheme. Approved, independent UKAS accredited analytical laboratories are employed to carry out all relevant air clearance and certificate of re-occupation testing.
The Kershaw approach to asbestos removal and disposal guarantees the minimum amount of inconvenience to our clients.
